Rest Up by ResMed

  • Prioritise sleep by developing a constant routine for sleep
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of poor sleep
  • Support family and friends to prioritise sleep
  • Be an advocate for sleeping well

Sleep deprivation and poor quality sleep results in slower reaction time, lower motivation, and overall reduced job performance. Work on positive sleep habits so we can show up as our best selves at work or for an interview. Whether you are a night owl or a morning lark, learn to sleep well and see the magic happen.

Join Susie Justus, Clinical Concierge Specialist from ResMed as they test your sleep knowledge, illustrate the science behind the wonders of a good sleep and introduce you to Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB) to include Sleep Apnea including the signs and symptoms (laughs guaranteed). Through case studies / story-telling, ResMed will demonstrate how SDB has no prejudice – it can affect you at any age and lower the quality of your sleep and life. There is no making up for poor sleep!

Lead Facilitator

Susie Justus, Clinical Concierge Specialist, ResMed

Susie sleeps well, enabling her to wake up on the dot at 6am in San Diego, raring to go. She prioritises sleep and is in tune with her Circadian Rhythm, that biological clock in us that regulates and coordinates mental and physical systems throughout our bodies.

Susie has been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 44 years now. She has worked on clinical trials with ResMed for more than 20 years, within the Ears, Nose & Throat (ENT) portion of her career beginning in 1996. Because of her vast clinical experience, she has seen firsthand how good sleep enables oxygen flow throughout our bodies, ensures carbon dioxide is released, leading to healthy cell regeneration throughout. This includes brain cells. By sleeping well, you are literally growing new brain cells.

Susie wants you to prioritise sleep too. Join her as she dials in from San Diego (this is how important this workshop is to Susie!) to understand the science of sleep, why she is determined to get everyone sleeping well and what you can do to build positive sleep habits.

Susie will be supported by her ResMed colleague in Singapore, Gabriel Tay.

Team Up by Agata Mathiasen

  • Be able to demonstrate how culture impacts business interactions
  • Gain knowledge of the “why” behind common behaviors influenced by culture
  • Develop strategies to bridge cultural gaps and leverage similarities with a global mindset approach
  • Identify development steps / actions that will enhance your cultural agility

Team Up is about increasing awareness of how we can more confidently show up and can be perceived by others and how we can influence and impact some of these perceptions. It is about getting better understanding the roots of our identity, the meaning of what we pay attention to and our preferences, how we communicate, make decisions, build connections with others and take up our membership in groups.

The class will start by exploring the wider context of cultural perceptions and then zoom in on 5 important cultural dimensions that influence how we think about our identity, how we relate to authority, how we communicate, collaborate, make decisions and build relationships. Each participant will have a chance to take a closer look at their own cultural work style profile and then design a cultural developmental plan to enhance their agility in the above-mentioned areas.
