Attendee Participation Guidelines

To ensure a respectful, inclusive, and empowering experience for all, attendees of the Inclusive Careers Fair agree to the following terms:

1. Respect and Inclusion

  • Treat all individuals with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, identity, or status.
  • Discrimination, harassment, or disrespectful behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.

2. Code of Conduct

  • Follow the event’s Code of Conduct, including during workshops, booths, panels, and networking.

  • Use inclusive language and conduct yourself professionally.

  • Refrain from hate speech, microaggressions, or any form of bullying.

3. Safe and Accessible Environment

  • Do not record or take photos of any individuals without their explicit consent.

  • Respect designated safe spaces and quiet zones.

  • Support accessibility practices, such as allowing space for wheelchair users or using microphones when speaking.

4. Job-Seeking Etiquette

  • Come prepared with your résumé, if applicable, and engage with exhibitors courteously.

  • Avoid aggressive job-seeking or disruptive behavior at employer booths.

  • Understand that not all roles may be suitable or available at the time.

5. Confidentiality and Consent

  • Respect the privacy of others—do not share personal stories or contact information without permission.

  • Do not collect or misuse attendee or employer data.

6. Dress Code

  • There is no strict dress code; attendees are encouraged to dress in a way that makes them feel confident and comfortable. Business casual is recommended for those seeking employment.

7. Photography and Media

  • By entering the event, you consent to being in photographs or videos that may be used for event documentation and promotion, unless you opt out at registration or at the check-in counter.

8. Right to Remove

  • The organisers reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior violates these terms or creates a hostile environment.

9. Liability

  • The event organisers are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the event.
